The History of Heritage NW

Tara and Cristina, lifelong friends with passion for community services and engagement, developed Heritage NW Consulting in 2018. Their collective and diverse experience in Social Services lead to the holistic and inclusive services now offered by Heritage NW Group. Tara and Cristina shared a passion for continued lifelong independence, through education and community support. They realized that services were more than just counseling or finding stable housing, but addressing maladaptive behaviors, understanding physical/mental limitations and tailoring services to address the entirety of the needs each individual client has to create a recipe for success. These are goals that the entire Heritage NW Group continues to strive for today.

Cristina was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on June 4th, 1973. When she was young her family of 4 moved to Vancouver, WA. She continued into adulthood, making this area her home where she began to dream. From a young age, Crissy was full of rebellious confidence and a wit to match. She carried this with her into life as she expanded her dreams and grew her family. Becoming a mom and being Titi was her greatest joys and driving force. In 2018, she married her longtime love and partner Richard. Then, to everyone's excitement, they brought into this world the family's little miracle baby. She delighted in her family and in the life she had created. Her curious nature inspired her to find new and fun way to engage with those around her. Anyone who has met her will never forget her. Her friends became family and there was no getting out of it.The love of family and her Cultural heritage, coupled with her giant heart, helped instill the kind of love for community that put her on the path towards inspiring and touching countless lives. Her interest in finding ways to help others came naturally and after a grueling amount of school, she earned her master's in social work. Her awe-inspiring confidence, hair brain ideas, vibrant trade-mark fashion sense, multiple degrees and the ability to talk to anyone was put to good work when her and her life- long friend began their flourishing business, Heritage NW Consulting. Checking yet another dream off her list. She lived her life to the absolute fullest. She loved fiercely and her light will never dim.

Walk to end Alzheimer's

Heritage NW Group proudly sponsored the promise garden at the Sept 21st, 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Walk to end Alzheimer's

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer's further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Each registered participant received a Promise Garden flower and Heritage NW Group was honored to hand out the flowers and show our support.

Participants raised flowers representing their promise to remember, honor, care and fight for those living with Alzheimer's disease and their caretakers. Through color, the Promise Flowers represent the diverse motivations of Walkers and participants have an opportunity to write a personal message on their flower.

Heritage Community in Action

American Warrior Initiative: Service Dog Event

Heritage NW Group had the privilege of supporting the American Warrior Initiative by sponsoring and participating in the Golf Tournament: Service Dog Event at Langdon Farms Golf Club. This special event raised funds for AWI to provide 2 highly trained service dogs to veterans. These dogs are more than companions. They restore independence, bring healing, and in many cases, save lives.

Inaugural Company Summer Social

Our First-Ever Heritage NW Group Summer Social was one for the books! Despite the overcast skies, the energy was bright and the memories even brighter at Alderbrook Park! Our team gathered with friends and family for a day full of connection, laughter, and fun. We enjoyed a potluck packed with delicious food, got creative with face painting, bounced around in blow-up houses, played yard games, and took full advantage of the lake, paddle boats, and pool. Thank you to everyone who came out and made our first summer social so special. Rain or shine, we're proud of the amazing culture we're building together!

GVC Open Golf Tournament

What a tee-rific day at the Greater Vancouver Chamber's (GVC) Annual Open Golf Tournament! Heritage NW Group showed up in full swing — we had two decorated golf carts cruising behind the beverage carts, a booth on the course handing out jello shots (cheers to networking with a twist!), and four golfers representing us out on the green. We had a blast connecting with our community, sharing more about the services we offer, and soaking up some sunshine with fellow local businesses. Thank you to the Greater Vancouver Chamber for hosting such a fun and well-organized event — we're already looking forward to next year!

AWB 2025 Spring Meeting

On May 14th, our Owner, Tara and Administrative Director, Miranda had the privilege of attending the Association of Washington Business(AWB) 2025 Spring Meeting — a gathering of business leaders, policymakers, and community advocates focused on building a stronger Washington. From conversations about workforce development to exploring new opportunities for collaboration, we were proud to represent Heritage NW Group and bring our voice to the table. We're inspired by the connections made and excited for what's ahead!

Business After Hours

Heritage NW Group hosted the Greater Vancouver Chamber Business After Hours event Feb 12th. It was a fantastic evening of networking, bringing professionals together for meaningful conversations, valuable connections, and a celebration of community spirit - all in the perfect setting for Valentine's Week. A night of collaboration, connection, and local love!

2024 & 2025 Legislative Review

2024 - Tara volunteers at the Legislative Review from the 17th, 18th, 20th & 49th districts.

2025 - Administrative Director, Miranda, and Senior Program Manager, Emmanuel, proudly represented our organization at the 2025 Legislative Review, hosted by the Greater Vancouver Chamber. This annual event brings together elected officials, business leaders, and community advocates to reflect on the legislative session and discuss how recent policies will impact our region. It was a valuable opportunity to stay informed, connect with local leaders, and advocate for the communities we serve. We're grateful to be part of a network that prioritizes transparency, collaboration, and progress.

Project Community Connect

Jan 30, 2025, Cecelia, our Behavioral Support Specialist and Counselor, and Ashley, our Community Choice Guide, represent us at Project Community Connect at the Elks Lodge in Long Beach, WA! Annual Party

Our annual party was a fantastic opportunity to bring our team together for an evening of fun and celebration! We enjoyed great food, drinks, and plenty of laughter as we reflected on our achievements over the past year. This event not only allowed us to bond as a team but also to express our gratitude for everyone's hard work and dedication. As we look ahead, we're energized and inspired to tackle new challenges and continue our mission of serving our community with excellence!

Business After Hours

Grand Opening

We were thrilled to celebrate the official opening of our new building with a ribbon-cutting ceremony! This event marked a significant milestone for Heritage NW as we proudly launched Heritage NW Counseling and Heritage Moving Solutions. Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, friends, family, and community members joined us to tour our new space, learn more about our expanded services, and share in the excitement of this new chapter. The support we received was overwhelming, and we are excited to continue making a positive impact in our community from our new home!
