Summer Social at Alderbrook Park
What is Alderbrook Park?
Alderbrook Park is a gorgeous, private park in Brush Prairie, Washington. 63-acres of forest, fields, amenities, and a private lake make this the perfect destination for outdoor corporate events or company social gatherings. Heritage NW Group was thrilled to host our first company summer social at Alderbrook and it was truly a special place.
Why Alderbrook?
Alderbrook holds a special place in the heart of our owner, Tara. She fondly remembers visiting as a child. She has great memories of the lemonade fountains and all the fun activities, so it felt like the perfect spot to bring our team and their families together for a relaxed, family-friendly day.
Alderbrook Park Venue #2
We were at Venue #2, which worked out perfectly. It was close to the entrance (easy to find), yet tucked away enough to feel private. We had our own grassy space for yard games without having to share with other groups, plus plenty of room for everyone to enjoy picnic-style dining surrounded by activities.
Our group did not upgrade and use any of the extra amenities offered to private groups like a DJ or Balloon Artist, but we happened to be there the same day as a free public car show starting at 5 p.m. Our official party wrapped up at that time, but many employees stayed to enjoy the event, which featured vendors, face painting, and more family activities.
What did the group do at Alderbrook?
We hosted a potluck, with each employee bringing something delicious to share. Everyone brought their best! Some standout favorites included homemade tres leches cake, tender brisket, creamy au gratin potatoes, and flavorful jambalaya. We gathered around the bonfire for conversation and s'mores for the kids, and enjoyed a variety of games and activities - both in our private area and in the larger shared field. Highlights included yard games, volleyball, mini golf, paddle boating, bouncy houses, and swimming in the pool.
Our team took full advantage of the amenities - swimming in the pool, paddle boating on the little lake, playing sand volleyball, bouncing in the inflatable houses, and strolling through the park. The lemondade fountain is exactly what it sounds like - a regular park drinking fountain, but instead of water, it pours cold, sweet, pink lemonade. Tara remembered it fondly from childhood, so of course we had to try it. It's a fun surprise, and yes - it tastes just as refreshing as it sounds.
The Heritage NW Group Summer Social at Alderbrook Park was so special.
Even though the weather was overcast, the energy was bright and we made memories celebrating each other and the culture we are building together. Thank you to Alderbrook Park for the perfect venue for fun, laughter, connection, and relaxation.
