What can I expect during my first appointment?

Typically, your first appointment with a therapist will be spent getting to know each other. Your provider will talk to you about their policies, approach to treatment, and expectations for sessions. Then they will ask questions to get to know more about your reasons for seeking treatment, your background, and your goals for therapy. Keep in mind, each provider has their own approach to intakes, and may structure your appointment differently.

LICSW

Clinical Director

I was born in Florence, Italy and moved to the US in 1996. I received a master's degree in social work in 2002 and obtained my license as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in 2010. I have worked in behavioral health setting for over 20 years as Program Director and therapist using a client centered and collaborative approach to empower clients to work towards their recovery and their goals. I have worked with a diverse population and provided clinical supervision for licensure since 2010. I consider myself a general practitioner and I am comfortable working with diverse clients of all ages. I have experience working with various diagnoses and use mostly Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (mindfulness and grounding). I have experience working with clients with ADHD, OCD, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety and PTSD. I am passionate about helping individuals who are struggling and teaching them coping skills to improve their overall level of functioning and quality of life. I am dedicated to helping vulnerable populations and improving community services. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, my dogs, taking pictures, dancing, and outdoor activities.

Cecelia

Cecelia,

LSWAIC MSW

Counselor

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker associate in Washington State, and I have been with Heritage NW Group since 2019. I specialize in blending mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create a therapeutic space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, guiding you toward healing and self-discovery. With over 15 years of experience supporting individuals facing trauma, domestic violence, ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, attachment issues, and life transitions, I am passionate about helping you connect with your authentic self. I believe therapy is a journey of embracing both the difficult and beautiful parts of life, allowing for growth and transformation. In our work together, I will create a supportive environment where we can have open conversations, resolve conflicts, and uncover patterns that no longer serve you. By tuning into your true self, we will explore healthier coping mechanisms and develop the tools to navigate life's challenges with greater ease and self-compassion. Mental health care is a fundamental part of overall health and should be available to everyone. I am committed to working with you to make your journey toward healing accessible and empowering. If you are ready to explore how therapy can help you create the life you deserve, I would be honored to walk alongside you on this path.

KL

KL,

LMHC

Counselor

I work as a Behavioral Specialist and Mental Health Clinician, with Heritage NW Consulting, providing quality services within the state of Washington. I practiced in clinical settings for many years, it was rewarding, and I learned a great deal. I now return to the work I most enjoy, working with individuals within the community. I enjoy the fulfillment of helping others to determine goals and provide all the support to accomplish their goals. Embarking on goal-oriented actions can feel paralyzing and overly complicated. Having someone on your side can be all one needs to spring into action. I feel honored to be a part of another person's life story, as they take steps towards positive change. Work/life balance is key to being a great provider, and Heritage work promotes such balance. I enjoy living in Washington, exploring, hiking, kayaking but mostly serving within my community. A well-balanced fulfilling life.
